Surrey Mounties are investigating a suspected drive-by shooting in a residential neighbourhood late Wednesday morning.
Witnesses told police they saw a man in a silver vehicle open fire on a black Honda near 128th Street and 64th Avenue at around 11:40 a.m.
Both vehicles were heading southbound on 128th Street at the time and fled the scene afterward, according to police.
Officials aren’t sure whether any passengers in either of the two vehicles were struck by gunfire.
Investigators are gathering evidence and canvassing the scene for witnesses.
It’s the latest reported drive-by shooting in the city.
Last week, two men in their mid-20s were shot in a targeted incident and drove themselves to hospital, refusing to cooperate with police.
Earlier this month, a string of four shootings that left two people hospitalized had Mounties hunting for multiple gunmen.
